Voddie Baucham makes some very good points, the main one being that in a post-Christian pagan America, Christians no longer have the protected status they once had in a culturally Christian America. The once-benign and neutral secularism has grown fangs and claws and militantly seeks to rend faithful Christians asunder who would still live under The Lord’s Prayer. They would just as soon throw us to the lions as the Romans once did, or any similar arm-twisting.
We find ourselves in the Garden of Gethsemane with Christ desiring not to drink this cup of persecution but yet asking that His Will be done.
Not the pagan’s wills but the Father’s be done. Amen.
