As we are now living in the madhouse aka the Beast City of Man set apart from our Creator, we must have knowledge of the presuppositions undergirding the City and the ‘evil is good’ ‘lie is truth’ morality and logic that informs what passes for ‘thinking’ here:

It begins like this: In the beginning was the Void of absolute nothingness. Then it hiccoughed (Big Bang) and miraculous energy and matter streamed forth. From the workings of energy on matter came the cosmos and eventually life:
“…matter itself continually attains to higher perfection under its own power, thanks to indwelling dialectic…the dialectical materialists attribution of ‘dialectic’ to matter confers on it, not mental attributes only, but even divine ones.” (Dialectical Materialism, Gustav A. Wetter, 1977, p. 58)
Life incarnated and reincarnated within different lifeforms over billions of years until finally there were apes. From apes came man. Man bears the genetic make-up of every life form preceding him. Thus, if we call man a person then we must call rivers, apes, and other lifeforms persons as well. Constitutionally, this means ants, streams, swamps, trees, fish, and so on have rights too.
Since all non-self (soulless) lifeforms—man, animal, reptile, insect, flora and fauna—are products of chance plus evolution working on matter pregnant with life (aka pagan animism) then there is no ‘moral’ difference between animals, slugs, fish, tumble bugs, and humans. Since everything existing is just an aggregate of matter in different forms then there is no reason for not ridding the world of inconvenient lifeforms.
This is the ‘reasoning’ behind bills calling for revocation of conscience protections. Since our Creator does not exist, then humans are without souls:
“It is the soul alone that God made in his own image and the soul that he loves…For the sake of the soul…the Son of God came into the world...” (Incomplete Work on Matthew, Homily 25, Ancient Christian Devotional, Oden and Crosby, p. 153).
Since non-self humans are soulless it logically follows that they are conscienceless as well. Thus, on Feb. 2, 2021, the Virginia House of Representatives passed a bill to remove conscience protections,
“…for child-placing agencies, prompting worry that the state’s Catholic adoption and foster care agencies could be forced to shut down because of their views on marriage.” (Virginia House Advances Bill Repealing Protections For Faith Based Adoption Agencies, Catholic News Agency, 2, 2, 21)
The poisonous presuppositions such as Darwinism plus the ‘evil is good,’ ‘lie is truth’ way of thinking that are alive and well here in America undergirded the Communist Beast City of Man—perhaps the most evil, murderous regime this long-suffering world has ever experienced.
According to the authors of “The Black Book of Communism,” Communist regimes did not just commit criminal acts but were criminal enterprises in their very essence:
“…all ruled lawlessly and without regard for human life (and) one particular feature of many Communist regimes (was) their use of famine as a weapon. The Bolsheviks had decided to eliminate…any challenge or resistance, even if passive, to their absolute power. This strategy applied not only to groups with opposing political views, but also to such social groups as the nobility, the middle class, the intelligentsia…the clergy…military officers and the police.” (pp. xvii, 8-9)
The Great Reset of current Globalists follows much the same program of Communism. Marxist Communists systematically stole the personal property of Russians, confiscated and sexually perverted their children, desecrated and blasphemed churches, crucified thousands of nuns and priests, tried to kill the souls of Christians, and in general, committed monstrous crimes against humanity which took the lives of sixty-million men, women, and children.

The religion of evolution is the religion of the Beast City. It is an invention of the imagination of man in rebellion against his Creator. It is an invention more terrible and more destructive than has ever been presented in the ordinary course of nature. It imagines that God is dead, that life somehow emerged out of nonlife, that man is not created in the spiritual image of God the Father but is rather a soulless, mindless, conscienceless ex-ape of evolution. It imagines there is no sin, no “hell below us, and above us only sky.”
Evolutionism is an invention of imagination, and it has taken the post-Christian West and many of its churches by storm.

Exactly right. Men are being beguiled, like Eve was, by their own vain imaginations which serve Satan’s designs, not God’s. They’ve bought they idea that they will “evolve” and “be as gods”. No, there is nothing that evolves, it can only decay.
But as you said, their evolution has the power of a substitute religion which they place their faith in. It will plunge them into an unholy, inhuman abyss.
I don’t know what it will take to get them to regard spiritual realities seriously, when they’re all too ready to cancel them. May God have mercy on their wretched souls which stand to be lost for eternity.
