I can relate to this. What I keep in mind is that Satan tempted Jesus in in the desert and he didn’t corrupt him. Likewise Satan can tempt all others with worldly things and he can succeed among those who are not under God’s protection. Some may even become demonic themselves, even exhibiting rage against God through oppressing others, whether wittingly or unwittingly. Some among those even willfully worship Satan, sharing in his defiance of God.
All the lawlessness we’ve seen I would attribute to demonic influence among those not in the Kingdom of God. We see it in their insane words and deeds designed to break down good and lawful order with chaos.
