If this is about fame and fortune then no, I’ve never had those ambitions, but I can understand the choices made by those who have attained them. Those of little or no faith will consent to whatever immoral means necessary to protect them while those of stronger faith will not compromise their faith or morals, no matter what the cost.
Even here, faith and morals still play a part, which is why we say “One nation, under God…”.
It still boils down to what’s more important, your money or your (everlasting) life. The Bible does say that money is the root of all evil, particulary to those who lust for it like a treasure, but not of course to those who simply use it as legal tender for barter.
