  1. This article had me a little befuddled because it began with assembling the evidence for the life and times of Christ (primarily from the New Testament), but concluded with Old Testament evidence for a supernatural creation.
Continuing my previous argument contesting carbon dating, that Adam was not created from infancy but rather fully mature, then the same can be said about the universe, that it came to be fully “mature”: pretty close to what we see now. That’s the supernatural version which discounts a naturalistic “infant” Big Bang birth. There are no “long ages” in the supernatural version.
Each day is “as a thousand years” and likely longer. I see “a thousand years” as a comparison used only to convey God’s time from our time. His day is much longer than our day. “As a thousand years” means to me “*like* a thousand years”, which means much longer, not exactly a thousand years because I doubt all those Biblical events happened in the space of the sixth day. You may correct me if I’m wrong on that. Recorded history begins when, before or after the Flood?

  2. Allow me to point out that I am not a Bible scholar, and so what I wrote above about thousand – year days are my own not entirely informed impressions without any indepth studies.
Yes, God could have formed everything within a five day five thousand year period. It was just that sixth day thousand year period that included animals seemed to me to be too short for all the human events that transpired.
    Again, I’m no Bible scholar.
