You think schools are neutral. They’re not. Every day your child is being discipled—in secularism, in rebellion, and against Christ.
The alarm clock rings. A mom pours cereal, a dad grabs his Bible. Before backpacks are zipped, the family gathers around the table. Heads bow. A father’s voice prays: “Lord, protect our children today. Guard their hearts. Keep them strong in Christ.”
A kiss on the cheek, a quick hug, and the child is dropped off at school.
But the moment that classroom door shuts, the prayer is met with another kind of liturgy. The teacher opens the lesson with rainbow flags taped to the walls. The child is told gender is fluid, that boys can be girls, and that “love is love.” Later, in health class, abortion is presented as “basic healthcare.” In social studies, America’s history is recast as nothing but oppression. In science, the universe is said to be self-existing, with no Creator, no Judge, no design.
By the time the final bell rings, that child has been catechized in a rival religion—a religion that mocks everything the parents prayed for that morning.
And then we wonder why so many kids grow up to rebel against everything God designed.
The Lie of Neutrality
The shift wasn’t an accident—it was engineered.
- 1962–1963: In Engel v. Vitale and Abington School District v. Schempp, the Supreme Court outlawed prayer and Bible reading in public schools. The Court didn’t simply remove religion; it replaced Christianity with secularism as the default faith of the classroom.
- 1980: In Stone v. Graham, the Court struck down a Kentucky law requiring the posting of the Ten Commandments in classrooms. The justices argued the commandments had no “secular legislative purpose.” Translation: God’s moral law had no place in public life.
- 1990s–2000s: “Values clarification” and multiculturalism became the new morality, teaching that no truth was absolute and no culture superior.
- Today: Gender theory, Pride ideology, critical race narratives, and climate alarmism are the openly religious doctrines of the classroom.
At the same time, John Dewey’s vision of progressive education—shaped by his signing of the Humanist Manifesto in 1933—was laying the foundation. That document declared: “Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created.”
This is not neutrality. It is the enthronement of secular humanism.
Modern Catechisms of Secularism
This isn’t theory—it’s reality.
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL): Billed as “neutral character education,” SEL often smuggles in progressive ideology under the banner of empathy, inclusivity, and “emotional safety.”
- Gender Identity Curricula: Children are taught gender is “assigned at birth” and open for self-selection. This isn’t science—it’s rebellion theology.
- Climate Alarmism: Students are told humanity is the problem and salvation comes through activism. This is an eschatology without God.
- Critical Race Theory spin-offs: History lessons now preach guilt, grievance, and perpetual victimhood.
The scale is staggering: GLSEN reports over 80% of public schools host pro-LGBTQ programs. Barna research shows two-thirds of young adults raised in church walk away by age 18. These aren’t isolated cases—they’re the fruit of systematic catechesis.
The Cost of Bowing to Baal
Christians often think, “If my kids avoid the bad crowd, they’ll be fine.” But the classroom itself is catechizing them:
- Science divorced from the Creator. Origins without God. Biology without design.
- History rewritten through grievance. America portrayed as nothing but oppression.
- Literature stripped of transcendence. “Follow your heart” replaces objective truth.
- Morality reduced to slogans. “Love is love.” “Be nice.” “My truth.”
This isn’t neutral—it’s hostile. Sending your child into this system unprepared is like sending Daniel into Babylon without faith, prayer, or conviction.
A Biblical Warning
Moses warned Israel: “You shall teach them diligently to your children… when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise” (Deut. 6:7).
Paul warned: “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition… and not according to Christ” (Col. 2:8).
Secularism isn’t the absence of religion—it’s idolatry. It worships the self. Every Pride flag is a sacrament of rebellion. Every abortion lesson is a denial of the Creator’s image in man. Every “my truth” mantra is an altar call to autonomy.
What Parents Must Do
- Acknowledge reality: Stop pretending public schools are neutral. They aren’t.
- Catechize at home: Scripture, prayer, doctrine, and worship must be daily, not occasional.
- Seek alternatives: Classical Christian schools, homeschooling, or co-ops are lifeboats in a sinking system.
- Stand firm: If you remain in public schools, recognize you’re in Babylon—and act accordingly. Equip your kids. Confront false teaching. Refuse compromise.
The Call to Courage
Night falls. The same family gathers again at the table. Heads bow. The father prays: “Lord, thank You for this day. Keep our children close to You.”
But what parents must realize is this: between breakfast prayer and bedtime prayer, their children are being discipled. The battle isn’t whether they’ll be taught—it’s who will be their teacher.
Neutrality is a lie. Secularism is the reigning religion of the classroom. And unless Christians rise with courage, conviction, and clarity, we’ll keep handing our children over to be shaped in the image of Caesar instead of Christ.

It appears to me that Godless secular humanism has a strong resemblance to luciferian Theosophy, since they both exclude God from human affairs. Could we say that Godless secular humanism is just a clever disguise for luciferian Theosophy? I’d say yes.
