Prayer for Repentance and Revival in an Age of Nihilism

The Greek Atomist Epicurus (341-270 BC) is the father of contemporary Darwinian materialism, the foundation of the so-called scientific worldview. The principal tenet of Atomism teaches that the world was not created by any deity, or with any design, but came about by a chance movement of physical atoms of various sizes and magnitude that cemented together and so formed the world.

The world and everything in it were not created but instead the accidental emergent or evolved products of a great cosmic event (exploding Cosmic Egg/Big Bang) that spontaneously generated mystically animated physical matter pregnant with life from nothing. This way of thinking excludes everything unseen, such as God, the human soul, mind, angels and demons, and holds that humans are aggregates of physical matter in motion in a human form and the human consciousness an active principle of grey matter.

This ancient pagan way of thinking forms the basis of the materialist psychology of Sigmund Freud, Darwin’s evolutionary theory, modern evolutionary biology, secular humanism, secular trans-humanism, Marxist quasi-pantheist and animist dialectical materialism, and is the basis of John Dewey’s thinking. Dewey was a co-author of the 1933 Humanist Manifesto and father of progressive education, a leading figure in the ‘dumbing down’ of American schools and the transition of American society away from its founding Biblical heritage in favor of pagan Humanism and relativism:

There is no God and no soul. Hence, there are no needs for the props of traditional religion. With dogma and creed excluded, then immutable (unchangeable) truth is also dead and buried. There is no room for fixed, natural law or permanent moral absolutes…We, of course, say that we do not believe in God (and) eternal morality. That is moral that serves the destruction of the old society. Everything is moral which is necessary for the annihilation of the old exploiting social order and for uniting the proletariat.” (John Dewey, The Unseen Hand, A. Ralph Epperson, p. 298, 378-379)

The death of Christ Jesus in the hearts of modern unbelievers means they have no source for their souls (inner person), spirits (conscious mind), wills, and identity in our Creator (John 1). Furthermore, there is loss of hope and immortality. For man, now the soulless fragmented being of evolution working on matter, there is nothing—no higher truth, absolute moral law, no heaven above, no hell below and nothing to relieve the dreadful, agonizing fear of death.

Do you wonder why the party of evil speak lies, ignore the Constitution, hate humanity, and want to destroy Christian grounded America? The answer resides at the level of their view of reality. If all that exists is matter in motion and change, then the Constitution is as meaningless as human life. There can be no truth, no meaning, no purpose, no soul, no mind, and no afterlife where there is only change due to matter in motion. Nor can there be only men and women as created by God (Genesis 1-11) but 52 genders or more because matter in motion causes continuous change. And what about humans? What are they if all that exists is matter in motion? Obviously, we are nothing but worthless, contemptible aggregates of matter in motion so why not exterminate them, thereby ridding the world of its excess population?.

Pagan Darwinian materialism, the so-called scientific worldview that in the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany was a license to commit the genocide of millions of useless eaters has usurped America’s founding Christian based worldview:

“…[T]he foundation of all reality is the existence of the eternal Creator, who is the designer of all things in nature and the promulgator of all the laws which govern nature.” (A Miracle that Changed the World: The 5000 Year Leap, Principles of Freedom, p. 101)

The Christian religion is the religion of our country. From it are derived our prevalent notions of the character of God, the great moral governor of the universe. On its doctrines are founded the peculiarities of our free institutions.” (William McGuffey, d. May 4, 1873, professor at the University of Virginia, president of Ohio University, and author of McGuffey’s Readers

The hearts of great numbers of Americans are in bondage to the vain philosophy and murderous science of unrepentant men and demons and in desperate need of cleansed hearts, healing of minds, repentance, and revival.

Let us go to our merciful Lord in prayer:

Father God,

Lord, we confess that we have fallen away from You and have run after “philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.” (Colossians 2:8). We live in an age of desolation where lost souls wander aimlessly to and fro in search of something to give them meaning and life. But what they seek they cannot find, because they are not looking for it in the true source of life itself—our Lord Jesus Christ. Father, today Your intercessors come together as true and faithful followers of our Lord Jesus Christ to fervently pray for repentance and revival of souls and healing of hearts and minds in this age of nihilism. Lord Jesus, You invite us in Matthew 7 to ask You as our Father for what we desire. We desire Lord, for our families, friends, neighbors, and all unbelievers to seek and find the truth of the only authentic source of life- Lord Jesus, the Truth, Way, and Life. We ask the Holy Spirit to lead all lost souls to repentance and faith in You, Lord Jesus. We pray that Truth will be brought to Light in each and every lost soul that they may be found, and so we pray this day for repentance, and revival of spirits, hearts, minds, and this nation

In the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we pray, Amen
