The idolatry of our age is the kind that took over prior to the Flood and again, after the American house had been “swept and put in order” by what Charles Taylor called a “self-sufficient humanism” (A Secular Age, 18), meaning “a way of life in which we have full confidence in our own ability to flourish apart from God.” (1) Puffed up idolaters of evil self have rejected the supernatural God of the Bible (Romans 1:18-32) and satisfy their rapacious desires by consuming all things, including porn, and babies and children down here on this earth that is passing away. They range from the shiftless idolater of self on the street to our powerful, wealthy and evil Deep State, Intelligence Community, Judicial, Military Industrial Complex, political confederates, Hollywood, and mainstream media whose “greed is as wide as Sheol,” and have been heaping up evil gain for themselves that is not their own that they might set their luxurious nests on high to be safe from harm. But they have devised shame and consequences for themselves by preying on innocent babies and children and plundering other people and leaving them impoverished.
The idol of evil self emerged from deep within the fallen soul on three levels. On a surface level it arose from covetousness by lusting for what is not its own, such as power, glory, and riches. On a deeper level the idol of self arose from a desire to be unfettered from the God of the Bible, to be a free spirit without sin, to be autonomous, to be….gods. (Gen. 3: 5). On the deepest level, the mind desired by many idols of evil self is the evil mind of Lucifer (Satan), so now they think and do evil all of the time.
Apart from Christ, all that fallen, depraved, self-idolizing man can do is vainly fill the God-sized holes in their withering, darkened souls with deeper and darker evil while remaining unaware that they have become more depraved and evil than they were before:
“With the emergence of the Free Self as the most prominent idol of the West, the identity-defining effect has taken a somewhat different form. Now the deity is the freedom of the individual to follow his or her own desires, to construct his or her own person. This is what makes a person truly human. And therefore what I want to do, my desires and passions, becomes not merely an important part of my experience but definitive of my very person. Just as Athena defined the self-perception of the Athenians, and Artemis of the Ephesians, and Dagon of the Philistines, so the desires of the Self has come to define those in the West. Doing what I want is really being me; what I want is who I really am. My desires define me. They are my identity.” (Pride: Identity and the Worship of Self, Matthew P.W. Roberts, p. 45).
At every level of American society, but particularly at the highest levels of power, the idol of evil self is the raging monster relentlessly plotting the downfall and death of President Trump, Elon Musk, Vance, RFKJr, and the Trump Administration.
What we need to understand is this: the idol of self attacking our President, attacking our homeland by chem-trails and the geo-engineering of monstrous tornados and hurricanes (Helene and Milton), violent hailstorms, and floods of biblical proportion (2), while obscenely consuming babies and children, and plundering American taxpayers is the slave of its own evil desires. These depraved, evil desires are the treasure trove of evil seated in the heart of the idolater of evil self. This is why Jesus said:
“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil” ( Matthew 12:34-35).
Long ago, the prophet warned that perilous times would come when idolaters of evil self arose in great numbers:
“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good” 2 Timothy 3:1-3
Heavenly Father, Your children come before You in the name of Jesus, acknowledging your power and sovereignty and asking that it be Your will to restrain the evil impulses of all idolaters of self who are making our streets, schools, stores, cities and towns unsafe because they are unfettered from You, O Lord. We pray for Your divine protection upon President Trump, his administration, and all who are Yours. Surround us with Your righteous angels and create a hedge of protection around our President, his family, Elon, Vance, Trump’s administration, and all who call You Father. Guard us from the snares, pits, and traps set for us by evil-minded idolaters of self and keep us secure in your loving care. Dear Heavenly Father, we trust in your promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper.
“put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires,” Ephesians 4:22, ESV
Lord, we acknowledge that we are not the captives of oppressive Globalists, DeepState, Woke, Military Industrial Complex, and Marxist idolaters of self but that the idolaters are themselves captives of their evil old self and demons. The enemy to be destroyed is their evil old self. Their depraved, evil desires have both enslaved them and condemned them. But You, O Lord Jesus Christ, died and rose again to set all men free. You died in order that our evil old self might die with You, and You were raised so that with You we might all be raised to eternal newness of life. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. If a wicked heart is not rejuvenated by the Spirit of God it will continue to worship evil self. So now we lift up all idolaters of evil self to You, O Lord, the Doctor of our souls, that it might be Your will to capture their hearts and rejuvenate them.
O God, Ruler and Creator of Thy people, abolish the sins which beset us, that being ever pleasing unto You, we may abide securely under Your protection. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Prior to that you wrote what my own thoughts, not formed yet, were leading to. Thank you for that.
So we live amongst monsters who only serve their own selves as though they’re their own gods and will not serve their Creator God. That’s queer ( in it’s original sense) since Satan is like that too.
The monsters we live amongst are the same as existed in the pre flood generations leading to the flood. Athanasius wrote about both pre flood and post flood generations (Babylon, where they called themselves gods). So now we have them here. The main reason I wrote about self-idolatry is that I don’t hear the America church teaching and preaching about it as it ought.
