Something is happening behind the scenes in Israel that Americans are not being told about. A mad-man, one of Netanyahu’s own cabinet members and arguably the second most powerful man in Israel, is spearheading a movement to destroy the Dome of the Rock and the Mosque that stands on it, regardless of whether or not is provokes a Third World War, in order to usher in the Messianic reign. Jewish Extremism is gaining ground in Israel, and American media is hiding it from it, along with its consequences as the Arab world coalesces to push back.
Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was just in the United States with what he alleged were top-secret intelligence findings that he insisted on putting into President Trump’s hands personally. This is Netanyahu’s repeated practice whenever he’s trying to push Trump for more war. And that’s what Israel gets regularly; more war.
Netanyahu brags of war on seven fronts like a teenage girl brags about her extracurricular activities on a college application, as though it’s more of an accomplishment than a burden. Israel has been shooting kids in a barrel for three years as part of its genoicde in Gaza, is carpet-bombing residential neighborhoods in Lebanon, is provoking skirmishes with its illegal settlers in the West Bank, is at war with Iran while using the U.S. as a proxy, monitors Syria for weapons transfers and militia activity, contends with Houthi threats affecting regional shipping, and continues navigating the aftershocks of a wider regional confrontation that has stretched from the Mediterranean to the Persian Gulf. Under those circumstances, one might reasonably assume the government’s highest priority would be reducing the number of potential detonators, considering conventional wisdom says that you can’t win a war on more than two fronts, as both Napoleon and the Nazis can testify.
Instead of de-escalation, which any normal nation would have on its to-do list, on July 23, one of Israel’s most senior security officials helped orchestrate a spectacle at the single most religiously combustible location on earth, voluntarily introducing yet another crisis into a region that hardly seemed to require the additional assistance in making crap hit the fan.
There are bad ideas. There are catastrophically bad ideas. Then there are ideas so recklessly detached from self-preservation that you wonder whether everyone in the room suffered a carbon monoxide leak because it is so shockingly dumb that the chance more than one person at a time would think it’s a good idea is next to impossible. But Israel loves war as much as Mike Huckabee loves Israel, so on June 23, Ben Gvir tried to start another one.
While every serious security analyst on earth understood Jerusalem to be one unfortunate spark away from another regional explosion, Israel’s National Security Minister apparently surveyed the geopolitical landscape and concluded, “You know what this situation needs? Four thousand religious nationalists marching onto the most disputed patch of sacred ground on planet Earth.”
On Tisha B’Av, more than 4,000 Jewish visitors entered the Temple Mount under heavy Israeli police protection. Yes, under police protection. The Israeli police did not try to stop a mob of Jewish radicals from marching to take back the Dome of the Rock and rebuild the Jewish temple. They went to protect the mob. Among them was Itamar Ben Gvir, the cabinet minister responsible for police escort, making the event possible. Videos showed Jewish worshippers praying openly inside the compound – which is illegal according to Israel’s own treaty. Ben Gvir emerged afterward declaring, “The Temple Mount is in our hands,” while celebrating what he described as “expanding Israeli sovereignty” over the site (we’ll explain that in a moment).
This raving lunatic and genocide sociopath is in charge of Israel’s national security. The most extremely idiotic thing that someone in his position could do – or in anyone’s position – would be to march into the 3rd “holiest” site in the Islamic world – and to Muslims, in the world at large – and declare that Israel has now taken back the Al Aqsa Mosque. And if you’re not aware, that would be the start of the third world war and likely the end of the world as we know it.
The Temple Mount is supposedly the holiest place in Judaism and home to the Al Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, making it the third holiest site in Islam. For nearly six decades, an extraordinarily fragile arrangement has existed, mostly because nobody wanted to discover what would happen if someone decided to mess around. Ben Gvir decided now was an excellent time to test the theory.
This was not a handful of overzealous tourists slipping past security. This required planning. Coordination. Thousands of participants. Massive police deployment. The roads were closed. Security perimeters were pre-established. Intelligence assessments had to have been conducted. Every officer assigned to babysit this spectacle was an officer unavailable somewhere else in a nation already consumed with genuine security needs. How does a nation with war on seven fronts possibly even have the supplies, weapons, vehicles, and personnel to carry out…oh, yeah. The United States underwrites their entire war schemes. Israel writes the checks. America cashes them. And apparently, they wrote enough checks over that there’s enough cash for an attempted coup of the Muslim holy site to tear it down and spark World War III by rebuilding the temple God destroyed in 70AD.
Most Americans did not hear about this. We have not been told that the security minister responsible for internal security did not merely attend, but celebrated the event afterward as evidence that Jewish sovereignty over the site was advancing. Most of the world immediately accused him of staging a political demonstration masquerading as a religious pilgrimage. The vast majority of Europe condemned it as needless provocative violence, the type that Muslims will remember for generations. Or worse, that they’ll take out on the United States for subsidizing it.
THE THIRD TEMPLE
Rabbi Yisrael Ariel founded the Temple Institute in Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter in 1984 with a stated purpose: Prepare everything the Third Temple will need the moment Israel decides to build it. Researchers there have reconstructed over 70 sacred vessels in gold, silver, and copper, crafted to Jewish law and blessed as kosher for immediate use. The list includes the golden Menorah, the Showbread Table, the Incense Altar, the Ark of the Covenant, the High Priest’s breastplate, ephod, and golden crown, and the silver trumpets described in Numbers. Ariel told Breaking Israel News that if Jews were handed the opportunity today, restarting Temple service would take four hours.
THE PRIESTHOOD
The Temple Institute maintains a registry of Kohanim, men who trace their lineage to Aaron and qualify by Jewish law to serve as priests. Training covers the mechanics of Temple ritua. Levites train as the musicians who once accompanied sacrifice with song. Bakers spent years reverse-engineering the exact shape of the showbread eaten only by the priesthood.
THE RED HEIFER PROJECT
Numbers 19 requires a red heifer without blemish, never yoked to labor, burned and mixed with water to produce the ash required for ritual purification before Temple service can resume. Texas rancher Byron Stinson, working with the group Boneh Israel, spent years hunting candidates and flew five to Israel in September 2022 aboard a passenger jet. Rabbis from the Temple Institute met them at Ben Gurion Airport for a formal ceremony. By August 2025, the Institute announced all five had developed disqualifying white hairs and failed inspection. Stinson and his supporters dispute that finding, arguing at least two heifers still meet the criteria, with a domestic Israeli breeding program now underway to preserve the genetics. Hamas cited the heifers’ 2022 arrival as a stated motive for October 7, calling it evidence Israel was moving to destroy Al Aqsa and build the Temple.
THE PORTABLE ALTAR
Some rabbis argue Temple sacrifice requires no finished building at all. An altar built to Torah specification sits ready, designed to be lifted onto a flatbed truck and delivered to the Mount on short notice. Activists have staged reenactments of the Passover sacrifice near the Old City for years, treating the ritual as rehearsal rather than mere study.
THE SANHEDRIN REVIVAL
A group of rabbis reconstituted the Sanhedrin, Judaism’s ancient religious court, in the early 2000s. In December 2004 members attempted to ascend the Temple Mount, ritually purifying themselves beforehand, before access rules turned them back. Rabbi Chaim Richman served as the Temple Institute’s international director from 1989 to 2020 and sits among the modern Sanhedrin’s most visible members, later founding his own organization, Jerusalem Lights, for the same mission. Ariel and Richman connect vessel reconstruction, priesthood training, and the push to reestablish religious authority capable of authorizing a Temple.
TEMPLE MOUNT ACTIVISM
The Temple Mount Administration, led by Rabbi Shimshon Elboim, states its objective to build the Third Temple where the Dome of the Rock now stands. Beyadenu, meaning “In Our Hands,” coordinates the visits, counting 50,000 Jewish visitors to the compound in a single year as early as 2021 and 2022. Both groups organize flag marches, cornerstone ceremonies, and Passover sacrifice reenactments, functioning as liturgy and political pressure at once. Beyadenu chairman Jacob Heiman celebrated the Tisha B’Av breach this year by declaring Jews had answered “Al Aqsa flood” with 40,000 visitors “strengthening Jewish sovereignty” on the Mount.
THE JEWISH UNDERGROUND
In the early 1980s, a cell called the Jewish Underground, led by Yehuda Etzion and Menachem Livni, plotted to blow up the Dome of the Rock using four twenty-kilogram explosive devices, aiming to trigger a war that would clear the ground for the Third Temple. Israeli authorities caught the plot before detonation and imprisoned Etzion for acts of terrorism. He served his time and returned to activism, founding Hai Vekayam, a group still pushing for Jewish prayer rights on the Mount. The man who once planned to bomb the compound spent his later career building the political movement that now walks through it under police escort.
BEN GVIR’S CONNECTIONS
Ben Gvir’s wife, Ayala Nimrodi, is a documented member of the Temple Mount Administration, the same organization led by Elboim that marched beside her husband on July 23. Elboim was photographed walking directly next to Ben Gvir during the minister’s visits. Ben Gvir told the Knesset, “I am the political echelon, and the political echelon permits Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount,” a direct personal claim of authority over a rule his own office publicly insists remains unchanged. As National Security Minister, he controls the police force that enforces or ignores that rule on any given day, and July 23 answered which one he prefers.
THE WAR CULT AND BEN GVIR
The Israeli military has a remarkably high tolerance for hardliners.Yet when eighteen-year-old Itamar Ben Gvir appeared before the IDF’s conscription board, even they decided he was too extreme for military service. Why? Essentially, he was in what can best be described as a combination of a cult and a terrorist gang called Kahanism. Ben Gvir had immersed himself in the teachings of Rabbi Meir Kahane, whose Kach movement became so virulently racist that Israel eventually banned it from politics altogether. The United States later designated it a terrorist organization. Ben Gvir did not merely admire Kahane from afar. He emerged from that movement. Forty years later, the kid the IDF would not trust with a government-issued rifle became Israel’s Minister of National Security, the civilian official who oversees the Israeli police.
For years, Ben Gvir proudly displayed a portrait of Baruch Goldstein, the Jewish extremist who entered Hebron’s Ibrahimi Mosque in 1994 and murdered twenty-nine Muslims while they knelt in prayer. Goldstein did not die defending Israel or stopping a terrorist attack. He walked into a house of worship with a rifle and opened fire on unarmed civilians. Think of it like an American politician having a portrait of Dylan Roof, the Mother Emmanuel church shooter. Ben Gvir honored him with wall space in his home until political ambition finally demanded a renovation. The portrait disappeared only after Ben Gvir began climbing the electoral ladder toward national office. The problem was never the murderer. The problem was that voters might see the picture.
JORDAN’S RESPONSE
As of yesterday, Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi is convening emergency talks in Amman, pulling in Arab League states plus Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan. Safadi is calling the threat of an Israeli takeover “imminent” and warning the situation could trigger a wider religious conflict. Career diplomats reach for “concerning developments.” Safadi went straight to holy war.
The 1994 peace treaty between Israel and Jordan explicitly recognized Jordan’s special custodial role over the Muslim holy sites in Jerusalem. King Abdullah has to respond publicly, because the custodianship is one of the last cards the Hashemite monarchy has left to play with a domestic population that already views the king as too close to Washington and Tel Aviv. Jordan is protecting its own throne here as much as it’s protecting Muslims in Israel. Abdullah’s kingdom has a population majority Palestinian by descent, built from successive refugee waves stretching back to 1948, so at this point, it’s mostly Palestinian. A king who can’t stop the Temple Mount’s incremental conversion into a Jewish prayer site loses standing at home. His domestic opposition gets a rallying point that outlasts whatever American aid keeps his government solvent.
HOW BIG A DEAL THIS ACTUALLY IS
The only question that matters is if the Muslim world treats an Israeli move on Al Aqsa differently than Gaza, Lebanon, or the West Bank? The answer ranges from “yes” to “hell yes.” Gaza generates outrage that fades within a news cycle because most nations calculate their own interests before committing resources to someone else’s fight. The Arab world absolutely hates what is happening to Gaza. At the same time, they aren’t going to get themselves killed for Gaza. But Al Aqsa functions like a trip wire. Over a billion Muslims would be up in arms, overnight, if Israel tried to take custodial ownership over the Mosque. It would be, in no uncertain terms, a regional war of every single Arab state against Israel. Every one. We have seen how Iran has fared against the United States, and it’s not half bad, at least in terms of survival; the fact that their munitions appear to be outlasting ours, as the strait is still closed. Now imagine if the entire Middle East were at war with Israel. Does the U.S. want to pick that fight?
Jordan pulling in Turkey, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Pakistan for emergency consultation is a nightmare situation for the United States. None of those countries share a border with Israel. None carry a Palestinian refugee population demanding action. All four normally sit out regional Israeli-Palestinian flare-ups entirely. Erdogan gets involved in Jerusalem specifically because Al Aqsa lets him position himself as defender of the Muslim world without sending a single Turkish soldier to Gaza. Indonesia and Malaysia, the two largest Muslim-majority democracies on earth, rarely weigh in on Jerusalem policing decisions. Their presence at this table signals a shift across multiple foreign ministries from watch-and-see to active alarm. In other words, nations that are usually hands-off are hands-on, thanks to the Muslim holy site being in clear jeopardy.
Ben Gvir just cracked open an eighth front at the one location on earth capable of making the previous seven look small. One crazy psychopath in Israel is about to start a regional war that has every chance of becoming a world war when and if China and Russia get involved as proxy agents against the United States, as they almost certainly would if and when the United States stepped in to defend Israel, which, as much as we would hate to see it, probably would.
WHO’S IN CHARGE IN ISRAEL?
If Itamar Ben Gvir has become such a diplomatic wrecking ball, why doesn’t Benjamin Netanyahu rein him in? The answer is that Israeli politics is not an American presidency. It is a coalition government. Netanyahu can control Trump more easily than he can control Ben Gvir.
Netanyahu is not governing with a comfortable majority that allows him to fire him. His government survives only so long as enough parties continue supporting it in the Knesset. Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party has been one of the pillars holding that coalition together. Strip away those seats at the wrong moment, and Netanyahu risks watching his government collapse. When that happens, he’ll probably go to prison for the crimes which he almost certainly will be convicted of. In short, Netanyahu relies on Ben Gvir to stay in office. He relies on staying in office to maintain the war. He relies on the war to stay out of prison. So, the world is on the brink of a Middle Eastern regional war, and perhaps a world war, because the raving lunatic Ben Gvir is keeping Netanyahu in office.
Ben Gvir repeatedly pushes the boundaries of Israeli policy, particularly on the Temple Mount, while Netanyahu repeatedly assures the international community that Israel’s official position has not changed. It’s like, “No worries, world. My security minister is only pretending to start World War III. It’s no big deal.”
Essentially, Ben Gvir is a headache Netanyahu cannot afford to cure. Every time Ben Gvir creates an international controversy, Netanyahu pays a diplomatic price. Every time Netanyahu publicly humiliates or sidelines Ben Gvir, he risks paying a political price at home. That leaves him attempting to thread a needle that grows narrower with every new confrontation. For the moment, his government appears to have settled on an uncomfortable compromise. Netanyahu reassures foreign governments that Israel remains committed to the status quo, while Ben Gvir continues testing exactly how much of that status quo can be altered without causing the end of the world.
