As I scroll social media and witness the chaos—not just between ideological foes but between so-called friends—I’m beginning to realize people aren’t living in the same moral universe. While I’m slow to credit or blame the death of Charlie Kirk for anything, I’m recognizing how much of a peace-making role he played in so many arenas. But it doesn’t stop there. The fractures I’m seeing every day aren’t just relational or political. They’re spiritual.
People aren’t disagreeing over policies anymore.
They’re disagreeing over reality itself.
Two people can watch the same clip, the same conflict, the same cultural meltdown, and come away with two different worlds.
When a nation loses the ability to agree on what is true, the collapse is not theoretical. It’s inevitable.
And it’s happening right now.
America Is Breaking Because a New Religion Took Over
This is the part no political strategist wants to say.
America isn’t collapsing because of economics, elections, or demographics.
America is breaking because a new religion replaced the old one.
Every institution that once shaped stable citizens has been captured.
Every structure that once depended on transcendent truth now bows to self-expression.
Scripture warns what happens when truth is abandoned:
“Truth has stumbled in the public squares, and uprightness cannot enter.”
— Isaiah 59:14 (ESV)
We are living in that reality.
The Family: The First Institution to Fall
Long before the chaos hit our streets, it hit our homes.
You dismantle society by dismantling the family.
You dismantle the family by mocking marriage and fatherhood.
You dismantle the family by convincing women that career is identity and children are obstacles.
You dismantle the family by treating men as optional and boys as defective.
This wasn’t accidental. It was ideological.
God designed the family as the foundation of civilization:
“Honor your father and your mother.”
— Exodus 20:12 (ESV)
“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”
— Ephesians 6:4 (ESV)
The family is the first classroom of virtue.
Once it fractures, everything that follows begins to crack.
In the 1950s, children memorized the Ten Commandments. Today many memorize the Ten Genders.
That’s not progress. That’s apostasy.
The Church: When Discipleship Became Therapy
The Church should have been the last institution to fall.
Instead, it surrendered early.
We traded theology for thin emotionalism.
We replaced doctrine with self-help.
We replaced reverence with entertainment.
We replaced discipleship with brand-building.
Paul warned us:
“For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching.”
— 2 Timothy 4:3 (ESV)
That time came.
And many churches responded by removing anything that might convict, confront, or correct.
A soft Church cannot hold a collapsing nation.
A Church that fears people will never fear God.
Once pastors stopped warning about sin, America stopped believing sin existed at all
The Education System: America’s New Temple
Public schools no longer exist to educate.
They exist to catechize.
They disciple children into the new faith: identity, self-invention, grievance, and sexual confusion.
This is not education. It is indoctrination.
Paul warned the Church about this kind of formation:
“See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit.”
— Colossians 2:8 (ESV)
Once schools stopped teaching truth, students stopped recognizing it.
We used to teach reading. Now we teach rebellion.
We used to prepare citizens. Now we produce activists.
And America wonders why it’s tearing at the seams.
Government: When the State Becomes the Savior
Government was meant to punish evil and reward good.
Not parent the nation.
But once the family collapsed and the Church softened, the state stepped into the vacuum.
People now expect government to provide identity, security, meaning, morality, and daily bread.
That’s not governance. It’s religion.
“For there is no authority except from God.”
— Romans 13:1 (ESV)
When the state replaces God, freedom evaporates.
Rights become permissions.
Citizens become dependents.
And a dependent nation is a conquered nation.
Media and Technology: The New Prophets
Media doesn’t inform anymore.
It forms.
It shapes fears, loyalties, enemies, and desires.
Jesus confronted the father of lies:
“When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
— John 8:44 (ESV)
A people fed through deception will eventually lose the ability to discern anything at all.
Truth became a commodity.
Lies became currency.
Clicks became commandments.
No nation can survive that.
The New American Religion
Here is the honest diagnosis:
America did not become secular.
It became pagan.
The new religion looks like this:
- Its god: The autonomous self
- Its doctrine: Be true to yourself
- Its canon: Therapy language, DEI manuals, activist slogans
- Its sacraments: Pronouns, pride rituals, public affirmations
- Its temples: Schools, HR departments, universities
- Its priests: Influencers, bureaucrats, celebrities
- Its mission: Convert your children
- Its heresy: Biblical Christianity
- Its punishment: Cancellation
- Its heaven: Endless affirmation
- Its hell: Judgment
Paul described this collapse perfectly:
“Claiming to be wise, they became fools.”
— Romans 1:22 (ESV)
This is the true crisis behind every crisis.
What Christians Must Do Now
We don’t rebuild a breaking nation by chasing political saviors.
We rebuild by recovering spiritual sanity.
Truth without apology
Not nuance but clarity.
Not hedging but declaring.
Holiness without compromise
The world doesn’t need a Church that looks like it.
It needs a Church that looks like Christ.
Courage in public
Silence is not kindness.
Silence is surrender.
Gospel clarity in a confused age
People don’t need affirmation. They need forgiveness.
They don’t need therapy. They need salvation.
Prayer as warfare
We aren’t battling arguments.
We’re battling principalities.
A collapsing culture won’t be rebuilt without knees on the floor.
A direct word to men
Men, this moment requires your spine.
Your family needs your leadership.
Your church needs your strength.
Your community needs your courage.
Stop apologizing for conviction.
Stop outsourcing responsibility.
Stop letting the culture disciple your home.
God designed men to stand when the world shakes.
Stand.
What You Can Do Today
If you’re wondering where to begin, start small and start now:
- Disciple your family: Don’t let screens or schools shape your children’s worldview.
- Anchor yourself in Scripture: Read, memorize, meditate, obey.
- Build Christian community: Faithful brothers and sisters are a shield in chaotic days.
- Join a healthy, biblical church: You cannot fight this battle alone.
- Speak truth publicly: Silence is not wisdom. Silence is surrender.
These aren’t suggestions. They are survival strategies.
A nation that rejects God collapses under the weight of its own lies.
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
— Proverbs 14:34 (ESV)
