I would argue that “liberals”, in the old sense of conservative vs. liberal, are not the ones behind these intiatives of global “transformation”. They are the Leftists that Mr. Orban calls them.
The liberals in the old sense thought of themselves as open-minded and forward-thinking but still remained true to American ideals. But those seeking to destroy American ideals cannot be liberals anymore or even true Americans. They’re now the power-hungry elitist Leftists seeking to manage and micro-manage world affairs as they see fit.
They’re perfectly willing to destroy anyone or anything that stands in their way. Totalitarians and dictators have always taken that approach.
