  1. If atheists can’t face facts, it’s because they’re not being objective. Their own desires are being subjective in desiring their own outcome. Why is that?
    I’d say it’s because their hearts are too hardened to be able to turn their minds and wills from their own selves. They may harbor evil wills, but if not, then they’re just lovers of their own selves and will defend it with defensive mechanisms such as Darwinism.
    The Truth is out there but they can’t accept it.

  2. Related to this, Jesus said something to the Jews of his time as being too “stiff-necked”.

  3. The Bible could also describe this as “vanity”, vanity being an inner disposition which accepts only whatever appeals to it. Humility does not appeal to vanity because it cannot be humbled, anymore than the Devil himself can be humbled.
    Humility and vanity can be said to be opposites.
